Dr. Dan’s Story
I became a Physical Therapist so I could help people feel better, get back to sports after sustaining an injury, and fully participate in the activities they love.
As a high school and college athlete, I dealt with my fair share of injuries. During my junior year of college I found it difficult to participate in track and field due to pain. Though I spent a good amount of time in the training room receiving rehab, no real improvements were made and I unfortunately had to hang up my spikes sooner than I would have liked. I knew there had to be a better way.
After graduating from PT school, I worked in a variety of settings and with a wide variety of clients. I quickly realized that this profession has a huge opportunity to truly change people's lives, more than just returning them to sports, yet the healthcare system was not set up with the client’s best interest in mind.
This is why my wife Amanda and I created Resolve PT and Performance. To break the mold and provide a higher level of care to athletes, weekend worriers, and busy professionals who are constantly trying to balance work, life and fitness. We’re here for you.
I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy from Seton Hall University, Bachelors in Athletic Training from Springfield College, and am a board certified Sports Clinical Specialist.
Credentials
During my graduate studies I spent time rehabbing football athletes at the University of Georgia and worked as a per diem athletic trainer at New Jersey Institute of Technology. I’ve taken my knowledge and experience from working with athletes in Division 1 and professional sports, as well as frameworks from the Postural Restoration Institute, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Dry Needling courses, and the Titleist Performance Institute to create individualized action plans THAT CHANGE AND IMPROVE LIVES.
Amanda’s Story
For as long as I can remember, movement has always been an important part of my life. I fell in love with dance at an early age and spent countless hours taking class, rehearsing, and performing. For me, dance provided exercise, an escape from everyday life, connection, and joy.
Now a mom of two young and active kids, movement looks a bit different these days. Our family enjoys dance parties in the kitchen, going on “scooter walks” and bike rides around the neighborhood, and trying out multiple sports and activities in order to figure out which ones the kiddos enjoy.
Though an educator by trade, I am really excited to partner with with Dan and help our community feel strong, empowered, and ready to fully participate in any activity they choose. Here at Resolve, you can find me working behind the scenes, greeting at the front desk, and strategizing how we can help as many people as possible live a pain free and active life. Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about getting started with IT Band Syndrome physical therapy at Resolve PT in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Do I need a doctor's referral to start physical therapy?
No. New Jersey is a Direct Access state, which means you can begin physical therapy at Resolve PT without a physician referral or prescription. Just call us or book your free 15-minute discovery call to get started.
Do you accept insurance?
Resolve PT is an out-of-network provider by design — because we believe insurance companies shouldn't dictate your care. You pay directly for your sessions, and we provide a superbill that you can submit to your PPO insurance for possible reimbursement. We're happy to walk you through the process on your discovery call.
How long are sessions, and how often will I need to come in?
Your initial evaluation is 75–90 minutes — enough time to truly understand your history, assess your movement, and build a plan. Follow-up sessions are approximately 60 minutes of dedicated 1-on-1 time with Dr. Dan. Session frequency is individualized to your goals and schedule.
What makes Resolve PT different from other physical therapy clinics near me?
Every single session is 1-on-1 with Dr. Dan Linick — a board-certified Sports Clinical Specialist. No aides, no shared appointment slots, no generic exercise handouts. We combine hands-on manual therapy, video running gait analysis, VALD performance testing, and a hybrid app-based program to treat the root cause of your IT band syndrome and get you back to the activities you love.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first visit is a comprehensive evaluation: we review your full history, run a head-to-toe movement screen, discuss your goals, and — for runners — may include video gait analysis and load-tolerance testing. You'll leave with a clear understanding of why you're in pain and exactly what the plan is to fix it.
How do I get started?
Book a free 15-minute discovery call. We'll learn about your situation, answer your questions, and map out your next best step — no commitment required.
